Whether it’s skating on our outdoor rink, shopping at the Farmers Market or going for a hike in the Don Valley, there are so many fun activities that you can do with the family at the Brick Works.
Playing, jumping, running, building, laughing, singing — just your average weekend in the Children’s Garden at the Brick Works! This garden is a magical place where families come together to connect, learn and play. Join us for FREE Weekend Nature Play on February 17 and 18 from 11am – 2pm and February 19 from 10am – 3pm.
During Family Day Weekend, we’ll be making frozen bubbles, telling stories, making suncatchers using natural materials we’ve collected from the garden, roasting apples, playing with loose parts and so much more.
Have you been to one of our DJ Skate Nights yet? Well, now is your chance! On Saturday, February 17 (6pm – 10pm), bring the entire family to this FREE event where you can skate among the trees while the DJ spins your favourite tunes. Food and beverage to purchase, as well as lawn games, smores and firepit will be on site for your pre- and post-skate enjoyment.
February 17 is BIPOC Night and DJ Roshanie will be spinning ’80s hits all night long! Bring your own skates or you can rent a pair of ours. Shuttle service to and from Broadview Subway Station will be extended until 10:15pm.

If you work up an appetite after skating, grab a snack or warm drink from our Skating Snack Stand. Some of the menu items include hot chocolate, mulled apple cider and locally sourced, artisanal snacks like chips, popcorn, bars and candy.
We’ve heard through the grapevine that the Saturday Farmers Market is one of Toronto’s must-visit markets! At the market, you can shop from over 50 local farmers and producers while being surrounded by the kilns of a historic brick factory. The community, the atmosphere, the food — there’s no better way to start your weekend than with a visit to the Farmers Market. We’re open from 9am – 1pm on February 17.
After you’ve finished connecting with nature in the Children’s Garden, shopping at the Farmers Market or skating on the rink, grab a bite to eat at Picnic Café.
