Indoor Farmers Market at Evergreen Brick Works

Embrace the festive season at the Saturday Farmers Market

As the festive season approaches, one of the most delightful places to visit is undoubtedly the indoor Saturday Farmers Market at Evergreen Brick Works. While farmers markets are a treasure trove of fresh produce and local goods throughout the year, they take on an extra charm this season.

Choosing to shop at the farmers market during this season is not just about finding unique gifts or fresh produce; it’s about supporting local businesses and farmers. By purchasing directly from these vendors, you contribute to a more sustainable and community-oriented way of celebrating this time of year.

You’ll often find an assortment of delightful treats that embrace the festive spirit and showcase seasonal flavours. Some of the treats available at the Saturday Farmers Market during this time of year include:

  • Seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs: A variety of fresh produce that is perfect for family dinners such as carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, radishes, butternut squash, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, brussel sprouts, apples, pears, rosemary, sage, thyme and so much more.
  • Artisanal cheese and charcuterie: A variety of seasonal cheeses, especially those flavoured with herbs or fruits, along with charcuterie like spiced sausages or cured meats, can be found for those putting together festive cheese boards.
  • Seasonal jams, preserves, and honey: Locally produced jams and preserves made from winter fruits like cranberries, oranges, or pears as well as artisanal honey with infused flavours like cinnamon or ginger.
  • Festive bread and pastries: Artisanal bread, including sourdough, whole grain loaves, French baguettes, flaky and buttery croissants as well as assorted pastries filled with fruits, nuts, or cream cheese, pies, muffins, scones, cookies and biscotti. Some vendors specialize in gluten-free or vegan baked goods too!
  • Unique and handcrafted gifts: You’ll find unique and handcrafted gifts that make perfect presents for loved ones. From handmade candles to beautifully knitted scarves, each item tells a story of craftsmanship and care, making them thoughtful and meaningful gifts.
