Saturday Farmers Market

The ultimate farmers market, with the widest offering of local and seasonal food you’ll find in the city.

Evergreen’s Saturday Farmers Market is open year-round, connecting people in Toronto to local Ontario farmers and producers.

About our Saturday Farmers Market

Evergreen started its Saturday Farmers Market in 2007 with 25 local farmers and producers, a great location, and a great community response. At the time, many predicted that it wouldn’t last. But, last, it did. Since then, it has grown into the largest farmers market in Toronto.

Open year-round, snow or shine, Evergreen’s Saturday Farmers Market is the meeting place for people from across the city—and beyond. Here you can connect with fellow Torontarians and local Ontario food producers alike.

Find the Saturday Farmers Market outdoors from May to October and indoors from November to April.

The farmers market is moving outdoors on Saturday, May 4! Find us under the pavilions.

Summer Hours: 8am – 1pm (Local Food Court open until 2pm).

Our goal

Our goal is to foster the growth of a resilient food system for people and the planet. This means:

  • Supporting sustainably produced food and goods that protect the health of individuals, communities and the environment.
  • Strengthening regional economic longevity and the livelihoods of local food producers by making space for a new generation of growers and producers.
  • Celebrating the diversity of our past, present and future residents, while acknowledging the role of Indigenous peoples as the original stewards of the land.
  • Uniting communities through conversations and actions supporting food literacy, food justice, and food sovereignty.

Our market map is updated weekly so you can plan your visit, find your favourite vendors, and discover some new ones too!

Please note: some last-minute vendor cancellations might occur without notice.

Become a zero waste shopper

There are so many environmental benefits of shopping at your local farmers market including reducing food miles, producing less waste and ensuring that the food that you eat is produced using sustainable farming practices.

If you’re interested in ways that you can become a zero waste shopper at the Farmers Market, here are some options:

  • Dine in with reusable plates and cutlery: If you’re staying at the Market to enjoy your meals and snacks, just ask the vendor for a reusable plate and cutlery at the point of purchase. Simply return used dishes to a designated dish bin before leaving (located with the waste receptacles).
  • Bring your own (BYO): Customers are encouraged to bring their own clean containers, mugs, produce bags and shopping bags. Just let vendors know you brought your own when shopping. Some of our vendors even provide a discount when you bring your own!
  • Return for reuse: Our awesome vendors often reuse their packaging! Feel free to bring back clean bottles, jars, egg cartons and baskets the next time you visit the market. Return, reuse and reduce!
  • Have your coffee in a Muuse insulated cup: Forgot to bring your own travel mug or cup? No problem! Just scan out a Muuse cup for FREE! Muuse cups can be used with any of the vendors offering beverages. Sign-up takes 30 seconds, and you have up to 30 days to return. Scan again to return used cups to a return bin located with the waste receptacles or return to over 50 locations throughout Toronto – see map at muuse.io/toronto for more details.
  • Take out with a Muuse to-go container: Just like the cups above, you can take market snacks and meals to-go in a stylish reusable container. Just scan to borrow a free container from Muuse!
