The Children's Garden is going through a magical transformation!

Our garden is undergoing a magical transformation! From October 2024 to Spring 2025, the space will be closed while we transform the amphitheater and fireside experience. Please excuse our appearance during these changes. We are thankful for your patience can’t wait to bring you even more fun-filled, nature-based play here at Evergreen Brick Works – just in time for Spring!

Community Spotlight - call for expression

Evergreen Brick Works runs a number of programs throughout the year. We are looking for Community Spotlight’s that can elevate existing programs or are large enough to stand on their own. Programs can run on any day of the week. Applicants may request a specific day or a range of dates.

Free skateboarding lessons

Queer Skate Toronto is offering free indoor skateboarding lessons alongside @impactskateclub.

Location: BMO Atrium
From 3:00pm – 6:00 pm :

Register to secure your spot!

 

Sessions are geared towards beginners looking to take on skateboarding in a safe, supportive, indoor space. Includes 1.5 hours of lessons followed by free-skate time.

Unplugged March Break at Evergreen Brick Works!

Take a break from your screens and join us for a fun-filled, unplugged March Break at Evergreen Brick Works! From March 10 – 16 (11am – 4pm), dive into hands-on activities with our Craft Club, where you can make bracelets and create nature-inspired crafts—perfect for all ages!

 

Challenge friends to one of our newly stocked board games or explore the beautiful Don Valley Park and reconnect with nature. It’s the perfect way to unwind, unplug and have fun this March Break!

 

FREE: PWYC (Pay what you can), suggested donation of $5.

Poppy Show: Homecoming art installation

Visit the City Builders Gallery to see our latest art installation, Poppy Show: Homecoming presented by Pear’d Experience Collective. Homecoming (2024) boasts a collection of mixed media works from Queer + Fem Caribbean artists who explore and express their relationship with reality, alterity and region.

Picnic is a family friendly café, restaurant & wine shop located at Evergreen Brick Works! They’re open for breakfast, brunch and lunch every day throughout the week. Menu items include coffee, pastries, pasta and more delicious goodies.

With Evergreen’s free immersive self-guided tours we aim to reveal the hidden ways that ecosystems and people co-exist and co-create our most beloved urban places.

On Saturday, August 10, from 4:00pm – 5:00 pm, visit the North Pavillions to experience a multi-disciplinary collaboration between musicians of the Labyrinth Ensemble.

Dastgāh introduces musical intervals found in traditional Maqam practice, the modal music system stretching between northwestern China and the Balkans to North Africa, decentering the 12 tones used in classical and contemporary music. This collaborative performance with Labyrinth Ensemble musicians highlights the artwork’s physical and emotional resonance through the intricate and compelling playing of the Ensemble, who specialize in exploring beyond the musical content and practices of Western music.

Available seven days a week, we have an ever-expanding catalogue of games available. You are free to roam the site to find the perfect place to play!

Rental prices:
– Free play for 20 minutes or less
– Recommended $5 Tip Tap donation for up to 2 hours
– Recommended $10 Tip Tap donation for up to 4 hours
– Recommended $20 Tip Tap donation for up to 6 hours

All revenue generated from game rental will go directly towards supporting free programing at Evergreen Brick Works like Weekend Nature Play.
