The Children’s Garden is one of the most magical spots at Evergreen Brick Works — and a few times a year, we make it even more special.

Join us for a free, drop-in party celebrating the season right where it’s unfolding: outside, in the garden, with your kids and your community. Expect hands-on nature activities, creative play, staff-led explorations and the kind of afternoon that reminds you what summer (or fall, or winter) is really for.

No tickets. No registration. Just show up and have fun.

What to expect

Each party is a free, drop-in afternoon in the Children’s Garden, led by Evergreen staff. Activities are hands-on, nature-based and designed to invite curiosity.

🪵 Loose Parts Play
Open-ended, imaginative play using natural and reclaimed materials. Build, sort, balance, invent. There’s no wrong way to play.

🦋 Nature Museum & Lending Library
Explore seasonal specimens and borrow nature tools to go deeper into the garden’s ecosystem. What will you discover today?

🎨 Nature Arts & Crafts
Seasonal, hands-on making inspired by what’s growing, changing, and alive in the garden. Take home something you made from nature.

Plus: Staff-led activities and surprises that change with the season.

The Children's Garden

The Children’s Garden at Evergreen Brick Works is a 14,000 sq. ft. outdoor play and learning space at the heart of the Brick Works campus. Designed for hands-on, nature-based exploration, the garden features native plants, loose parts and water play and our revitalized amphitheatre and fireside experience.

It’s one of the most-loved spots at the Brick Works — and the perfect place to spend a few hours outside together.
