Welcome to Evergreen Brick Works, a former brick factory turned hidden gem in the heart of Toronto’s beautiful ravines. Open daily and all year round, the Brick Works is a space to play, eat, shop, explore and connect in all seasons.
Immerse yourself in a place that’s unlike any other in the city. We’re calling all farmers market foodies, kids, art fans, nature lovers, and well, everyone! Experience the magic of Evergreen Brick Works. You won’t believe you are in Toronto.
Evergreen Brick Works is a social enterprise that is made possible in large part thanks to remarkable people just like you! All these great programs and events are kept affordable (or free) because of the generous donations of individuals and partner groups. Would you consider giving a gift and keeping this amazing place alive?
When you visit and support Evergreen Brick Works, you’re helping shape healthier, more sustainable cities across Canada. Built over 130 years ago, this historic brick factory nestled in Toronto’s ravines was abandoned before being transformed in 2010 by Evergreen, a national registered charity, into a thriving hub for urban sustainability and innovation.
Evergreen Brick Works is Canada’s first large-scale community environmental centre. Our public markets help local entrepreneurs and small businesses grow, the Children’s Garden serves as a living lab for innovative play and learning, and the restoration of our historic kiln building is moving us toward a carbon-neutral campus. The programs, and solutions tested here don’t stay here. Successful ideas are scaled and implemented in public space projects across Canada through Evergreen’s work to create greener, more resilient cities that support the health of people and the planet.
Every visit helps make that impact possible.
