Where kids can learn outside the classroom in Toronto's urban wild!
Evergreen’s Nature School gives kids the chance to be immersed in the outdoors throughout the seasons. Each day is filled with exploration, learning about the wildlife in the valley, practicing outdoor skills like shelter making and fire building. Each day, Nature School participants will record their experiences in the outdoors in their nature journals!
Nature School is designed for children aged 6-10 that want to complement their schooling experience in an outdoor setting. Across the 8-week program, children will build their resilience, confidence, and connection to nature.
“My daughter absolutely loved her experience at nature school. She was always excited to go, and each time we picked her up, she was eager to share stories about her day and the new experiences she had. She has become much more curious and aware of the animals, insects, and plants she encounters in our city. She observes the world around her more closely and often surprises us with insightful questions and thoughts about nature.” – Shawna, parent of Amelia (age 8)
Nature School runs on Fridays in 8-week sessions throughout the seasons.

Evergreen strives for transparency and inclusivity. We offer tiered pricing to ensure our camp stays accessible to families, while providing the following to our staff and community:

Our Camp Office is our lost and found! The Camp Office is in the alleyway leading up to the Children’s Garden. Please write to camp@evergreen.ca if your camper has forgotten or lost any item at Evergreen Brick Works. See here for our visitor map.
Please note, we strongly encourage campers to avoid bringing items deemed as valuable to camp. Evergreen is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
We’re outside as much as possible! That being said, in the case of extreme or unexpected weather such as thunder, lightning, hail, extreme heat/cold, we will be moving camp programming in a sheltered space or indoors for campers to continue having fun while staying safe.
In case of flooding at Evergreen Brick Works, or other unforeseen circumstances, Evergreen has the right to cancel camp programming as weather conditions may change unexpectedly, cancellation may be issued after camp programming has started.
Building a fun, friendly and accepting group of campers is a key goal for Day Camps, and to ensure this, we accept friend requests only if the campers are in the same age group and camp session. We limit the requests to one per camper. Friend requests that are not in the same age group and camp session will not be considered.
If you’d like to share a friend request, we strongly encourage you to contact our camp office at least 14 days in advance to your registered camp session. This gives our camp team enough time to accommodate for any late adjustments or changes to our camp planning. Please include your camper’s full name and registered camp session along with their friend’s camp information. We will try our best to accommodate, however, know that we are unable to guarantee friend requests.
