Get those skates on and glide onto the most magical outdoor ice skating rink in Toronto.
The Evergreen Brick Works outdoor skating rink, weaves through snow-covered gardens under exposed beams from the roof of the old brick factory. There’s truly no other skating rink like it in the city. Bonus, it features an ECO CHILL® refrigeration system for sustainable cooling, how “cool” is that?
Our skating rink has closed for this season. The skating rink is only open during the winter season and is open to the public from December to early March. Please be advised that as this is an outdoor rink, the condition of the rink and its availability is weather-dependent.
Evergreen will not be offering skating lessons this winter but may partner with local skating clubs to offer lessons at the Brick Works. Stay tuned for more details on our winter programming
Shoes, hockey sticks, pucks, strollers and pets are not permitted on the ice. However, skate assists and wheelchairs are allowed. We do have a few skate assists to lend out for free as well as CSA-approved helmets that are mandatory for children under 6 years old.
Free helmet rentals are available at the rink for skaters of all ages.
For more information, please contact skating@evergreen.ca.
In the case of warm weather or extreme weather, Evergreen will cancel lessons & close public skating. As weather conditions may change unexpectedly, cancellation may be issued after class or public skating has started. Updates about public skating can be found on our website and Instagram pages.
Extreme Weather is classified as:
Please note pets are not allowed in Koerner Gardens, where the skating rink is located.
We have skates (in all sizes) and helmets available to rent. Helmet rentals are free of charge. Skate rentals are available for a suggested fee of $5 per pair; which will go directly towards supporting free programing at Evergreen Brick Works.
Free Public Skating is an indoor-outdoor experience! The roof of Koerner Gardens is open.
