At Tastes of Home, the celebration extends beyond the flavors on your plate. It’s a heartfelt acknowledgment that, in the midst of our bustling lives, the simple act of enjoying a delicious meal can be a remedy for homesickness, a source of comfort, and a way to connect with the essence of home.

A sneak peak at what you can expect
“Savouring the Wild” in conversation with tea wright, Irene Orkin of Tibo Teas. She will be talking about Canadian wild teas as a component of Indigenous food sovereignty. Crafting wild teas using native plant species that acknowledge the customary and traditional indigenous use of wild resources for food and beverages.
Immerse attendees in a vibrant marketplace featuring food vendors and restaurants from across the GTA, offering a diverse array of dishes, some will pay homage to traditional methods of cooking and flavours, while others will be playfully innovative. A true reflection of Toronto’s food scene.

Engage families with interactive workshops and playful activities all centered around rice. Creating a joyful space for young festival-goers to explore diverse cultures through a food lens as they explore how different cultures cook with rice. Children will get a passport upon entry are will get stamps for completing activities.

Get ready for our Food and Wine Pairing Made Simple Seminar, where we head on a journey through the world of unique cuisines and the art of pairing them with the perfect wines. Beverly Crandon a CMS-certified sommelier, founder of the Spice Food & Wine Group, and wine expert on CTV the Social, will lead you through the session.
Throughout the seminar, we will engage in tastings that illustrate the must know food and wine pairing principles, allowing you to experience firsthand how thoughtful pairings can enhance both the food and the wine.
You Will Walk Away Learning:
By the end of our time together, you will leave with a working foundation in pairing particular wine profile styles with diverse cuisines, and be ready to impress at your next dinner party or culinary adventure.
Take a stroll through nature with our trained guides to help you digest after you feast at the festival! Walking after eating can aid in digestion. This can help reduce bloating and acid reflux symptoms. You’ll take a stroll around the site and into the quarry to enjoy nature!

Make the most of your fall visit to the Evergreen Garden Market by exploring the exciting activities we have in store! Wander through our whimsical maze, pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home and enjoy fun face painting for kids. $5 per activity or bundle it all for a family fee. Don’t forget to snap a Fall photo while you’re there.
The Garden Market will also be hosting a mini market in Building 14 featuring food themed products from local artisans.
