Aug 31 – Introduction to Spring Bulb Planting

As summer comes to an end, it is essential to think ahead and plant some bulbs in prep for next spring. This introductory workshop will inform you about bulb planting, so you can plant like a pro!

Sep 1 – Rain Gardens and Xeriscaping

What happens when you have too much water, or issues with drought? Rain Gardens absorb excess water, filter it and improve water quality, while Xeriscaping reduces the need for excess water at all.

Inspired by The Restore Garden, join in on this free workshop at Evergreen Garden Market, where we will learn about how to work with the water you have in your garden, whether it be too much or too little.

Sep 7 & 8 – Planting for Fall Harvest

Summer is coming to a close but there's still a bit of time to get one more crop out of your garden! We’ll be talking about planting short term yield seeds and seedlings to get every ounce of freshness out of your garden before winter.

Sep 21 & 22 – Micro Greens for your Kitchen with West Coast Seeds

Join LJ from West Coast Seeds to learn about growing micro greens at home! It's a great way to add freshness to your winter diet. 

This workshop is complete with a demonstration and your very own micro green garden to take home.

Sep 28 – Tree Planting and Prepping for Winter

Come learn proper tree planting techniques and how to prepare your trees and the rest of your garden for winter. Questions welcome!

Sep 29 – Plant Identification Walk

Join Evergreen Garden Market's Coordinator Nolan Scharper and Lead Gardener Isaac Crosby on a plant identification walk! Lots of identification notes, plant stories and growing tips as we discover the wonderful forest in Autumn.

Oct 5 & 6 – Soapstone Carving with Studiostone Creative

Create a work of art with soapstone, guided by Studiostone Creative.

Choose a native Canadian animal in which you wish to create and pull up a seat for this 90 minute workshop. There will be an hour break after the 90 minutes in which time the pieces will be polished and packaged to take home.

Oct 12 & 13 – Harvest and Wintering your Garden

Let's wrap things up for winter! Join us in learning how to protect your perennials and trees, harvest the last of your crops, and what can be brought inside to extend the life of your plants.

Oct 19 & 20 – Bat Houses & Pumpkin Carving

Help manage mosquitos and join in the spooky fun! Assemble your own bat house with our kits, along with instructions to assemble, decorate and finish. 

Once that is made, you can continue the spooky fun by carving a pumpkin!

Oct 26 & 27 – Pumpkin Carving

Join the spooky fun and carve your own pumpkin! Purchase one of our locally sourced pumpkins and get into the Halloween spirit by using our tools to carve it into your own jack-o-lantern.
