Join Evergreen and the Jericho Stewardship Group for citizen-science training and other activities taking place every month at Jericho Park, Vancouver. You can help ensure the park’s waterway remains a vital and functioning part of the urban ecosystem, by helping us monitor water quality, as well as by removing invasive species and replacing them with native plants,
Who is a Citizen Scientist? That’s you! Become part of a growing network of active community members, and:
• Learn about the local ecology of your watershed
• Help manage invasive species in the local ecosystem
• Plant native plants
• Monitor water quality of creeks in Jericho Park
Meeting place: Wooden bridge over the Jericho Pond
What to bring: Weather-appropriate clothing, closed toe shoes and a water bottle or coffee mug.
What we’ll provide: Training, tools, gloves and snacks
Commitment: 3 hours per event
