Free Public Skating

Visit our picturesque skating rink in Koerner Gardens for our free public skate hours. Bring your own skates or rent a pair of ours.

The skating rink is now closed for the season.

The Evergreen Brick Works outdoor skating rink weaves through snow-covered gardens under exposed beams from the roof of the old brick factory. Bring your own skates or rent a pair of ours! Skating is free, and skate rentals are available for $5 a pair. 

You must be wearing skates on the ice. Shoes are not permitted. Hockey sticks, pucks, and strollers are not permitted on the ice. Please note pets are not allowed in Koerner Gardens, where the skating rink is located.

Please note that skate assists are not permitted during public skating; if accommodations are necessary please contact skating@evergreen.ca.

A CSA-approved helmet is mandatory for children under 6 years old. Free helmet rentals are available at the rink for skaters of all ages.

Note: Skating hours are weather dependent. Hours are reduced in March to 10am-3pm.

Friday night skating run from January 3 to February 14 for Winter Fridays

Additional skating hours on weekdays during Holiday Week.

Skate sharpening: $7/pair
