Basic Bike Mechanics

Learn how to repair a bike with the guidance of our supportive staff in this four-week course.

Interested in learning how to repair your own bike? Come down to Bike Works at Evergreen Brick Works and learn with the guidance of our supportive staff.

Work on your own bike, or borrow one of ours. We have all the tools and materials you need to learn about flat fixes, brakes and gear adjustments, wheel and drive chain maintenance, and cable replacement over the course of four sessions.

Participants should bring their own bicycle and helmet if they wish. Please note that closed toed shoes are required in the shop.

There will be five sessions consisting of four classes each. Classes run Thursday nights. Choose to sign up for a session in March, June, July, August, or September.

Each session includes 4 weeks. The course runs Thursday nights from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

June Dates: June 7, 14, 21, 28
July Dates: July 5, 12, 19, 26
August Dates: August 2, 9, 16, 23
September Dates: September 6, 13, 20, 27

Prices & Fees

The cost this course is $135.60, which includes HST. To register, sign up through CampBrain.


No refunds will be issued if a reservation is cancelled within 21 days of the session start date. Otherwise, workshop fees are refundable, less a $50 administration fee.
