It’s undeniable that Evergreen Brick Works is truly magical in the fall. The shift from summer to autumn brings a new vibrancy, as our natural surroundings transform into a stunning display of warm, golden hues. Discover why this season is the perfect time to visit the Brick Works.
As the trails and ravines begin to explode with colour, people flock to Evergreen Brick Works to explore the space, take in the beautiful foliage and make the most of the season. Fall at the Brick Works is also marked by a range of events and activities. From the enchanting atmosphere of the outdoor Farmers Market to the beloved Good Mourning Festival to the wide range of fall festivities, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s a list of ten things to do at Evergreen Brick Works during this season that you need to add to your fall bucket list!
As fall settles in, the surrounding ravines transform into vivid tapestry of rich reds, fiery oranges and golden yellows. If you haven’t witnessed the fall foliage at Evergreen Brick Works before, make sure to check it out this season!
Fall is my favourite time to visit the Saturday Farmers Market! More specifically, I love those last few markets that are still outdoors, right before the Farmers Market moves indoors for the winter. The air is crisp, the fairy lights in the Pavilions create a warm ambiance, the fall produce is on display and people are in the best mood. Here’s a tip: get there early, grab a croissant from Hadrien Patisserie and a hot chocolate from Chocosol and wander the market as you delight in these delicious treats.
Make the most of your fall visit to the Garden Market by exploring the exciting activities we have in store! Wander through our whimsical maze, pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home and enjoy fun face painting for kids. The maze is $7 per person or $20 for a family of 4; extra family members at $5 each. Add on: Pie pumpkin $5. Add on: Facepainting $5 (when available). Don’t forget to snap a photo while you’re there!
The Tastes of Home Festival takes place on September 29 from 10am – 6pm at Evergreen Brick Works. Savour cozy, global cuisine, take scenic digestion walks through the Don Valley, take part in a wine class enjoy fun, nature-themed activities for kids and so much more.
While at events at the Brick Works this fall like the Ontario Artisan and Vintage Market, why not grab a bite to eat from talented local vendors at Outdoor Eats? Open from 1pm – 5pm on Saturdays and 11am – 5pm on Sundays this fall, vendors will be offering a diverse array of seasonal foods, inviting you to savour a range of autumnal flavours and treats.
As spooky season creeps closer, we’re thrilled to introduce Factory Frights: A Brick Works Ghost Tour! This storytelling experience blends fact and fiction, teaching you true details about the history of this iconic Toronto landmark while imagining the spirits that might haunt its historic halls—and, later, your dreams. Have you started planning how you’re going to decorate your outdoor space for fall? Our vibrant selection of fall chrysanthemums and asters will brighten up your space with rich seasonal colours. Now is also the time to stock up on fall bulbs to ensure a stunning spring bloom. In store, you can pick up daffodils, peony tulips, snow crocus in every colour and flowering alliums in an array of sizes. The Garden Market is open from 10am – 5pm from Sunday to Friday and 9am – 5pm on Saturdays.
