Watershed Toolkit

Evergreen’s Watershed Action Toolkit is a guide for anyone interested in protecting and improving the health of their local watershed.

A diagram of how a watershed works.Whether at a watershed-wide scale, at a local neighbourhood level or through everyday actions, you can make a difference and help safeguard these vital natural systems that underpin human life.

Following an introduction to watersheds and how they work, the Watershed Action Toolkit highlights major watersheds in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), explains how stormwater management works in urban areas and gives readers a chance to get involved in watershed restoration through programs such as Uncover Your Creeks. The last section is a “How-To Uncover Your Creeks” guide for community groups looking to start their own water quality monitoring and stewardship initiatives.
