Community Greening

Create a lasting impact in your community by taking part in planting and stewardship events near you

Volunteering is easy and fun, with no skills required! You can find us in public parks and natural areas across Canada, where you can help with activities such as planting trees, monitoring wildlife and removing invasive plant species.

Individuals, families and small groups are welcome to participate in our planting and stewardship events, or to help with evening stewardship activities. You can also show your commitment and strengthen your leadership skills by joining the team as a Community Greening Volunteer Leader (CGVL). You will receive training from our staff and can help them lead events in your community.

Take a look below for events taking place across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

By volunteering with Evergreen you will:

  • Meet like-minded people in your community
  • Make a positive impact on the environment
  • Learn about the benefits of planting native trees and shrubs
  • Learn how to identify invasive species and how to remove them
  • Plant trees for future generations to enjoy
  • Have fun!
