Exploring sustainable housing systems to ensure a green future

To accommodate growing urban populations around the world, cities must look to sustainable housing systems to ensure a green future.

The population of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) is projected to increase to more than 9 million people by 2036. To accommodate for this growth, we need to create an integrated approach to housing—one that is more sustainable, affordable and equitable.

By building collaborative capacity and co-creating solutions, we believe we can bring transformative change to housing in the region. Evergreen CityWorks’ strategy is to test ideas locally, and then aim to scale nationally where appropriate.
