Protecting Ontario’s biodiversity and fresh water sources
The Muskoka Brewery & Evergreen Fresh Water Grant Program supports Ontario not-for-profit organizations in safeguarding sources of fresh water. Through restoring native plants in riparian, wetland and shoreline areas, collecting water quality data points, and engaging the public in the care of local water systems, not-for-profit organizations are making a difference to the way Ontarians interact with this vital resource.
Fresh Water Grants will impact the quality of Ontario’s fresh water and engage the public in caring for aquatic ecosystems. Through targeted support for not-for-profit groups in Muskoka Region, Ottawa and Toronto, the Fresh Water Grant Program addresses water-related issues in both urban and rural contexts, and provides a platform for bringing increased attention to the diversity of issues faced by Ontario fresh water sources.
