The Children's Garden

Always evolving, the Children's Garden is designed to activate the imaginations of children, inviting them to engage in open-ended play. Here, children have the freedom to be architects of their environment, to invent and build using creativity and problem-solving skills, all while developing an appreciation for the natural world.

Activities in the Children's Garden respond to the changing seasons and weather and are based on the natural materials we have available. Most importantly, our activities are a great way to be active and connect with community, family and the environment that sustains us all.

Every weekend you can join us for Nature Play in the Children's Garden, open to parents and kids alike!

The Kilns

Go back in time and discover the rich industrial heritage of the site. The dramatic kiln building was formerly where the factory's bricks were fired. Now, the 52,000-square-foot building still houses the brick firing kilns and is use for events and exhibitions.

During 2017 & 2018, the historic kiln building is undergoing redevelopment to transform it into a year-round facility with a carbon neutral target.

While we are excited to introduce the re-imagined space to the public in 2018. Until then, the building will be unavailable to the public. Learn more about the redevelopment of the historic kiln building.

Skating Rink & CRH Gallery

Toronto's most picturesque skating rink can be found right in the heart of Evergreen Brick Works. Evergreen’s skating rink will be closed for the season due to ongoing restoration and redevelopment of the historic kiln building.

In the summer the skating rink disappears and becomes the CRH Gallery, an outdoor gathering space and outdoor seating area.
