Donate today to create beloved public places that help us connect with nature and with each other.
DonateThere are many different ways to get to the Brick Works. We suggest using sustainable forms of transportation, like biking, walking or public transportation, when you can. The Evergreen Shuttle Bus departs every 30 to 45 minutes from Broadview Station. If you’re coming by car, there’s also a limited amount of paid parking on site.
There are three steps to get into the shuttle bus, if you are not able to lift your walker or stroller on your own, we recommend having a support worker to assist you. Please click here to see Mulmer Sercives Ltd.’s accessibility policy.
Many areas of the Brick Works have different hours of operation. Please check the hours for the section of the site you’ll be visiting ahead of time.
Our friendly Evergreen staff will be at the Welcome Centre during the below hours to welcome you to the Brick Works and answer any questions that you might have.
Everybody should have the opportunity to connect with nature, history and community. Ensuring accessibility means welcoming people of all abilities to explore the site and engage in meaningful experiences.
Our Shuttle Bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift and tie-down. The bus can also accommodate one stroller or large assistive device per trip.
Service animals are allowed in areas of Evergreen Brick Works that are open to the public, including the Saturday Farmers Market and the Shuttle Bus.
When it is not readily apparent that the animal is a service animal, staff or volunteers may ask for a document confirming the need for the service animal.
Seating is provided throughout the site at bistro tables, benches and picnic tables. In the Young Centre and the Centre for Green Cities building, accessibility features include an elevator, accessible single-stall washrooms, automated door openers, and Braille signage in the elevators and conference centre. The accessible washroom is located on the ground floor, with accessible stalls located in the washrooms on each of the five floors.
While the site and park area are accessible for most people, there are some bumps, tracks and pebbles at this old brick factory.
We have eight paid parking spots reserved for vehicles with Accessible Parking Permits.
Did you know that all revenue generated from paid parking at Evergreen Brick Works goes directly towards running the site and beloved free programming such as Weekend Nature Play and Public Skating? By paying for parking, you are supporting Evergreen’s work in creating great public places for the health of people and our planet.
Indigo is the parking authority onsite and will ticket cars who have not paid for parking. Onsite you will find two parking stations in the central lot and one in the east lot. There are three different ways to pay for parking:
Option 1 – Scan the QR code (easiest method):
Option 2 – Download the Indigo Neo app:
Option 3 – Pay at the parking station:
We strive to make our programs and events as barrier-free as possible. Visitors and participants may use their own assistive devices. A support person accompanying a visitor with disabilities is allowed to stay with the visitor at all times, and is provided with free admission to Evergreen events (a fee may apply if a meal option is chosen).
