Nestled in Toronto’s lush ravines in a setting of awe-inspiring heritage buildings, Evergreen Brick Works is the ideal venue for your personal photography, commercial photo shoots, family pictures, or wedding and engagement photo shoots.
The photography permit fee is $350 (HST included) and allows access to take photos throughout the exterior of the site, including the Frances and Tim Price Terrace, and the Pavilions, for a maximum of 2 hours.
Please note that all venues are subject to availability, and the photo permit does not guarantee access. All revenues generated by photography permits are used to enhance public programming on site.
Please Note: Taking photos of visiting schoolchildren and day camp participants is not permitted at any time.
The photography permit allows you to shoot for 2 hours during your specified time. Evergreen books up to 6 permits per day, and we try to have as minimal overlap as possible to ensure a great experience for everyone.
Photography permits are available for 2 hour timeslots during:
Monday – Friday: 9am-5pm
Commercial photography and filming prices depend on the nature of your photo shoot and the areas/venues preferred for use. Contracts for commercial film shoots are negotiated directly with Evergreen’s Events staff; please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are you looking to book an event? Take a look at our venues on our Event Space page.
n the event of a flood or bad weather conditions, Evergreen agrees to provide you with a comparable booking, without additional fees, for the next best available date.
In the event of a cancellation, a written notice of cancellation is required at least 48 hours prior to the photo shoot. If notice is not received 48 hours prior to the shoot, there is no refund. Administration fees are charged for cancellations (20% of the Permit fee). These fees are non-refundable.
Once you have confirmed with our photography representative that photography permits are available on the day of your photo shoot, you will be asked to fill out an online payment form with your credit card or PayPal information. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards, as well as PayPal payments.
Our buildings are open to the public Monday to Friday from 9am–5pm, Saturday 8am–5pm, and Sunday 10am–5pm.
Please note that our washrooms are only accessible when the public facilities are open.
The number of photo permits allowed per day can vary and depends on the public activities we have on site. However, we do not exceed 6 photo permits per day.
All equipment except handheld equipment must be approved by the photography department. We do not allow props, smoke machines, pyrotechnics or installation of structures. Note that we do not provide electrical access.
We ask you to book your photography permit at least one week prior to your photo shoot so it allows us enough time to confirm the site availability, to submit your payment to our Finance department and to receive your payment confirmation. Please note that all photography permit inquiries are answered within 72 hours.
