Celebrate Earth Month

Shop, eat, learn and play in a sustainable way all April long at Evergreen Brick Works.

From our Saturday Farmers Market to our Sunday workshops, art installations and special pop up experiences—we’ve got eco-fun for the whole family all month long!

Did you know that Evergreen Brick Works was Canada’s first large scale community environmental centre? In 2010, Evergreen worked with the city of Toronto to transform a collection of deteriorating heritage buildings into a global showcase for green design.

This April, we’d like to invite you to join us in celebrating a greener and more sustainable future by connecting with our local environmentally conscious community at the Brick Works.

  • Shop our Saturday Farmers Market for local, seasonal and artisanal items!
  • Join our film screening and panel discussion on the people protecting waterways around the world!
  • Learn creative ways to repurpose discarded items and make art from waste!
  • Turn invasive plant species into beautiful artworks!
  • Walk the Evergreen Brick Works site to learn about the waterways, plants and animals, and what you can do to protect them!
  • Experience an immersive installation all about floods at Brick Works!

For 15 years, Evergreen Brick Works has remained a proud part of Toronto's homegrown history.

Initially proposed as a way to use the site of an old brick factory as a space to bring more green space into the city, it has become so much more. From Farmers Markets to festivals to nature-based play and even green technology, Evergreen Brick Works is leading the way.

But we can’t do this alone. As a social enterprise, Evergreen Brick Works relies on the generous support of people just like yourself.

Help us keep this beloved part of Toronto open for generations to come!
