DJ Skate Nights

Skate among the trees at our iconic rink while the DJ spins your favourite tunes.

Dates: Jan 20, Jan 27, Feb 10 & Feb 17

Join us at the Brick Works as we transform one of the most beautiful skating rinks in Toronto into the coolest dancefloor in town!

 

Bring your friends and family to this brand-new FREE event where you can skate among the trees while the DJ spins your favourite tunes. Food and beverage to purchase, as well as lawn games, smores and firepits will be on site for your pre- and post-skate enjoyment. Our Apres Skate Lounge in the Young Centre will be open for you to warm up in after skating.

 

Bring your own skates or you can rent a pair of ours. We have skates (in all sizes) and helmets available for you to rent. Helmet rental is free of charge and if you would like to rent skates, the suggested fee is $5, which will go directly towards supporting free programing at Evergreen Brick Works like Weekend Nature Play. Evergreen is a charity and none of the revenue generated is for profit.

 

Shuttle service to and from Broadview Subway Station extended until 10:15pm.

DJ

  • DJ Armo is a versatile, open format DJ. playing all genres to craft the perfect set for the crowd. He skillfully combines audience requests and his ability to read the crowd to keep to dancefloor busy until the end of the night. Through his sets you will experience high energy and smooth transitions from hit to hit!
  • DJ Roshanie is creative known for her nostalgic and global song selections. She’s guest DJ’d for radio stations around the world such as Rinse FM, The Lot Radio & Boxout FM.

 

Photography 

  • On February 17, there will be a photographer in Koerner Gardens that can take your photo, print it and frame it. Remember the night with a beautiful photo with friends or family!
  • Cost: $20 (while supplies last)

Everlasting bouquets (Feb 10)

In honour of Date Night on February 10, check out our Everlasting Bouquet drop in activity in the Bricks and Bites Kitchen, from 3pm – 5pm. You’ll work with our volunteers to create a beautiful bouquet from Italian Crepe Paper. Dive into a world of vibrant colors and sizes, crafting an everlasting bouquet that captures the essence of nature with a touch of your own artistic flair. Perfect for the whole family, this workshop promises a fun-filled experience that brings the joy of crafting to life! Cost: Pay what you can (suggested fee of $10).

Move with Evergreen: A Dance Workshop (Feb 17)

Join the celebration of Black History Month at our Dancehall Workshop! Immerse yourself in the vibrant beats of dancehall as we honor the powerful legacy of black music and movement. Join us on this rhythmic journey – where every step is a celebration of history, diversity, and the joy of dance! Spots are limited so register today to secure your spot! The class will take place from 4pm – 5:30pm. Cost: Pay what you can (suggested fee of $20).

We’ve extended our free shuttle bus service for DJ Skate Nights! For our regular shuttle bus schedule, click here.

Please be advised that the bus will only pick up and drop off at scheduled stops/locations. Weather and Traffic conditions may impact shuttle schedule times.
