The Saturday Farmers Market

The outdoor farmers market

It's that time of year again! The Saturday Farmers Market will be moving to the Pavilions on April 29. We are looking forward to being in this beautiful space, surrounded by nature.

Fun Fact: The Farmers Market stays open rain or shine because the Pavilions are covered!

Throughout April, the Farmers Market hours are 9am - 1pm.

The Evergreen Garden Market

Spring in the Garden Market

It's seed starting season! It's the time of the year to start your tomatoes, peppers, squash, pumpkins, broccoli, cabbage and other plants.

The Evergreen Garden Market is fully stocked with seeds and seed starting essentials like plug trays, humidity domes and heating mats.  Our staff is available to help you create your own seed starting kit tailored to your planting needs.

We have a wide range of seeds including west coast seeds, matchbox seeds and native wildflower seeds from wildflower farms. Come on in to see what we are growing right here in the Garden Market!

If growing from seeds is not your strength, we will have vegetable seedlings, and native plants available after the last frost date, in early May.

Our new collection of Fermob patio furniture is now available with expanded collections and colours. We are here to help you bring life to your outdoor space and are fully equipped to help you design a collection that is right for you.

The Community Spotlight Program

The Watershed Wall

We have a couple Earth Day activations planned for Saturday, April 22:

A screening of "In my Backyard" (BMO Atrium from 11am - 12:15am) - In My Backyard chronicles director Jamie Day Fleck's personal journey into urban agriculture, converting her entire backyard into a kitchen garden. Visitors can drop by to catch the film anytime and stick around for as long as they like. Jamie will introduce the film and will be around to answer questions after the screening in the Garden Market along with some of the urban growers featured in the film.

Still Point of the Turning World: Living Sculptures with Alexandra Iorgu (The Toddlers Garden from 10am - 1pm) - Use clay to co-create a living sculpture with members of your community led by land-based artist, Alexandra Iorgu.

James Levac Music (The Frances and Tim Price Terrace from 12pm – 4pm) - Stop by to hear James play on his solar powered, recharable piano that has been welded onto a tricycle.

Weekend Nature Play

The Garden Market

Weekends are so much fun in the Children's Garden because of Weekend Nature Play! From 10am - 3pm on Saturdays and select Sundays in April, you and your family can play with loose parts, build forts, make art and craft out of natural material and so much more!

Did you know? Evergreen programs like Weekend Nature Play are funded by donations from supporters like you. Thank you for encouraging the joy of play!

Sprouts: Early Years & Nature Nut Outdoors Club

Children in nature

It’s the perfect season to get outdoors and experience the natural world coming out of its winter slumber. On that note, we are so excited to share that we’re bringing back our Sprouts: Early Years program and Nature Nut Outdoors Club programs this spring at Evergreen Brick Works!

There is no better way to feel that spring energy! What are you waiting for?
