Congratulations to Evergreen Founder and Chief Executive Officer Geoff Cape on being invested into the Order of Canada, one of our country’s highest civilian honours.

At a ceremony today at Rideau Hall, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada recognized Geoff for his outstanding achievement and leadership in creating sustainable, thriving urban environments in schools, public spaces and communities across the country.

Geoff founded Evergreen in 1991 with the ambition to connect people to nature in cities. Since then, Evergreen has evolved into a national organization focused on integrating people, natural and built worlds, driving change that helps make our cities flourish. Evergreen has become internationally known for its tackling of environmental and urban challenges and continues its city building vision with the ambitious redevelopment of the Kiln Building at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, creating a dynamic year-round superhub that will ignite, accelerate and celebrate new solutions for low-carbon cities.
