Earth Day is a great way to introduce you and your family to the many ways humans impact the environment and learn how to make that impact a positive one.

This year, Evergreen Brick Works will celebrate Earth Day on April 23 with activities to help you get involved and learn about the environment, while still having fun and enjoying nature.

This year you can participate in…

Alternative ways to recycle!

Most people know you can recycle paper and plastic, but do you know what to do with old electronics, clothes or bikes? We have a few options:

Recycle your electronics
During Earth Day weekend our friends at Recycle My Electronics, Presenting Sponsor of Drop, Swap & Shop, will be onsite to help you recycle your end-of-life electronics. To see all types of electronics they accept, visit their website.

Attend Drop, Swap, & Shop
This bi-annual event is part of the growing sharing economy. Gather your no-longer-used items and swap them for something new to you!

Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor Recycle My Electronics for helping Drop, Swap & Shop happen for the third time.

Stewardship events!

Take care of our planet in a hands-on way with programs dedicated to protecting our natural resources.

Take a guided walk through the Don River Valley Park
Now that spring is here the snow is melting, revealing litter below that may have accumulated over the winter. On this guided walk, you’ll get to enjoy the beauty of spring in the Don Valley and help beautify it by picking up litter along the way.

Discover how stuff works
With professional supervision and tools from Repair Café Toronto, the Children’s Garden will host a take-apart-table on April 23. A take-apart-table is an activity that provides people the opportunity to learn more about how household items, toys, and other common things work.
