Renée Gomes

Renée is a Registered Professional Planner and Senior Vice President of Development at DiamondCorp. She is a champion of creative, multi-sector approaches to city building and has led numerous strategies for advancing public policy objectives through commercially successful real estate projects, including master planning initiatives that feature transit-oriented communities and world-leading approaches to sustainable development. She previously managed Waterfront Toronto’s development initiatives in the East Bayfront and West Don Lands communities, including Athletes’ Village for the Pan/Parapan American Games. She led the initial master planning and municipal approvals processes for East Harbour, Canada’s largest planned commercial development, and has prepared growth management and revitalization strategies for numerous communities in the Greater Toronto Area and in England. She is a lecturer in the University of Toronto’s Graduate Program in Planning.
