Evergreen’s Feast On BBQ brings Cottage Country to the City

Annual fundraiser, featuring top Ontario chefs, the best local food and drink and epic outdoors fun, in support of flourishing cities

TORONTO, ONTARIO (July 27, 2017) – Get ready to feast on this. Cottage country comes to Toronto for one night only when Evergreen hosts its third-annual fundraiser Evergreen's Feast On BBQ, presented by Muskoka Brewery, at Evergreen Brick Works on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Guests are guaranteed an unforgettable evening fueled by campfires, outdoor adventures, hand-crafted Muskoka beers, and top-notch BBQ dishes by ten renowned Feast On-certified chefs, all in support of Evergreen’s nation-wide work in building flourishing cities.

Evergreen’s Feast On BBQ is not your common cabin cook-out. This year Evergreen, with Muskoka Brewery, has partnered with Feast On, leaders of Ontario’s local food movement, to offer delicious dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients inspired by all corners of the province. A bounty of BBQ-ed meat, fish and vegetables will be perfectly paired with signature cocktails, wine and Muskoka Brewery craft beer, like their Harvest Ale made with all-Ontario ingredients. It’s a perfect recipe for a cottage escape right in the city.

Meet the chefs behind the grill:

  • Elisa Corrigan of The Green Wood, Toronto
  • Jesse Vallins of Maple Leaf Tavern and PORT Restaurant, Toronto/Pickering
  • Raul Sojo of Bistro '67, Whitby
  • Tim Borys of Lancaster Smokehouse, Kitchener
  • Adam Ryan of Localista, Orangeville
  • Arron Carley of The Bruce Hotel, Stratford
  • Nelson Singh of Spirit Tree Estate Cidery, Caledon
  • Steffen Marin and Ami Dipasquale of Heirloom Farm to Truck, Toronto
  • Olivia Simpson of Hawthorne Food and Drink, Toronto
  • Laird MacArthur of Café Belong, Toronto

Send off the cottage season with a bang by dancing under the stars or channeling your inner lumberjack with a round of axe-throwing. Into a more low-key cottage escape? Grab a delicious beer, pull up a Muskoka chair, sit back and roast your own marshmallows by the fire. Psst – there will be a beard trimming station to ensure a well-coiffed cottage vibe.

Get ready to #feastonthis.
