Patterns in Relationships: Ethnobotany (2002)
This module can be used in conjunction with
Patterns, Plants and Playgrounds, and is designed for grades 4-7. It was written by educator Illene Pevec and piloted at Grandview/?Uuqinak'uuh Elementary School in Vancouver, BC. Activities all focus on ethnobotany - the plant knowledge of social groups of people, and how this relates to food, clothing, ceremonies, etc. Activities range from making a medicine wheel to identifying plants in Halkomelem, a West Coast First Nations language. 62 pages.
