Working with School Boards and School Districts

Since 2001, Evergreen has collaborated with more than a dozen school boards and districts across Canada. These relationships are multi-faceted and unique to each board’s needs, however the goal is simple – through collaborative efforts and combined expertise, we can best meet the tremendous grassroots interest in school ground greening to ensure that projects are well designed, well used and sustainable. This work is central to Evergreen’s efforts to create lasting large scale change on Canadian school grounds. In practical terms, we take a customized approach (PDF, 270 kB) to each district or board, finding common goals and bringing the strength of our experience and network to create a suite of guidelines, processes and policies that best fits each district and its schools.
