Getting Started

Evergreen Common Grounds offers a wide range of funding opportunities. All proposed projects must be open to the community, should have a strong volunteer-involvement component, and must be located entirely on publicly accessible lands.

Each of the Common Grounds grant programs has slightly different eligibility requirements. Browse through program descriptions to find those that are right for you. Check out the Application Guide for each program to determine your eligibility.

Community groups are encouraged to apply, and must be working in partnership with their local municipality or other institutional partner such as federal or provincial government agencies, crown corporations or publicly funded institutions (such as a university or hospital).

Projects on school grounds are not eligible for Common Grounds Grants. Schools or school groups may be eligible for Common Grounds Grants if they are undertaking projects in parks or other publicly accessible lands in partnership with other community organizations. Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds provides financial support to publicly-funded schools undertaking greening projects on school property.
