Fido

Fido

Fido is pleased to announce their new partnership with Evergreen. Fido is the wireless savings company that cares. Not only is Fido encouraging its customers across Canada to adopt paperless billing thereby reducing their environmental impact, proceeds from this program will support greening projects and the planting of 25,000 trees across Canada. Projects include restoring degraded public spaces, improving opportunities for open-air recreation, education and enjoyment, and improving the health and biodiversity of natural habitats in both Toronto and Vancouver.

Green Grants, a Canadian community greening program sponsored by Walmart Canada and led by Evergreen, is the largest program of its kind nationwide, providing funding to groups introducing or enhancing local community green space. Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Walmart Canada operates a growing network of more than 300 stores across Canada and employs more than 80,000 Canadians. Walmart is aggressively pursuing long-term goals to be supplied by 100 per cent renewable energy, produce zero waste and sell merchandise that sustains resources and the environment.

In addition, Energizer has created a national campaign challenging Canadians to take the Now That's Positivenergy pledge to drive additional donations from Energizer to Evergreen.

Under the new corporate banner, Now That's Positivenergy, Energizer is encouraging Canadians to Do Something Little. Help Something Big. The program is a rally for positive environmental and community acts, such as planting a tree, donating books to the local library, line-drying laundry or cleaning up litter. Energizer is promoting the program in stores and directing consumers to nowthatspositivenergy.ca. With each pledge made, Energizer will donate an additional $1.00 to Evergreen.


The Home Depot Canada

The Home Depot Canada Foundation was established in 2008 to expand The Home Depot Canada's commitment to giving back to the communities it serves. As a private, Canadian charitable organization, the Foundation is dedicated to using our skills, knowledge and resources to support affordable, sustainable housing initiatives and local neighbourhood improvement projects that incorporate environmentally responsible practices.

Since 2005, The Home Depot Canada has worked with Evergreen to provide more than 100 communities across Canada with the funding, tools, materials and volunteers needed to complete urban stewardship projects through the Rebuilding Nature Grant Program. The Home Depot associates also lead and participate in projects throughout the year to enhance community spaces through litter clean-ups, tree plantings and restoration projects.
