What Evergreen is Doing as an Organization

• We “fuel” Evergreen’s operations with clean, emission-free sources like wind and low-impact water power (through Bullfrog Power) instead of carbon intensive sources like coal and oil
• We provide staff with refillable containers for all beverages
• We encourage all staff to do in-office composting and waste diversion (and we are a passionate bunch)
• A huge majority of our staff walk, cycle or take transit to work. When necessary, we use AutoShare
• We are working to create only "tree-free" resources (many publications are available only in digital format (like our Annual Report)
• We use double-sided printing
• We re-use envelopes

When We Must Print Materials

• We insist on FSC certification for our printers
• We print minimal numbers with targeted distributions
• We use waterless printing whenever possible
• We double up projects on press to minimize impact
• We use Enviro100 paper as our choice for resources
• We do electronic approvals for press items
